Welcome to my music page. If you would like to listen to music while you poke around, the mp3 player button on the left will open a popup player and play tunes at random. my studio - the control room As far as what's new: finally I have my new studio setup working at full speed and have gotten back to recording some new ideas. I've been working on some new tunes and should have them up within a month. I've also put a new player on the song page on the page that will allow downloads directly.
Come back soon! |

inspecting a new toy I have been playing stringed instruments since I was 5, studied classical cello for 12 years, and picked up my first guitar when I was 10. For most of my teen years I was sure I was destined to be a metal guitar god like many of us do at that age, but as life evolved, my priorities changed direction. I have been fortunate enough to have a successful career outside of music that has consumed most of my time and energy for the last 20 years, but in the last few years have dusted off the old chops to fuel my need for some additional form of creative expression. |

Currently I'm mostly playing and recording with a Hamer Sunburst Quilttop and my old friend, a 1986 Kramer Baretta. As well, I have picked up an ESP LTD with a maple neck and a single/single/humbucker setup for some different tones, an Ibanez EWC30 acoustic-electric, and finally a 5 string OLP stingray bass which are featured in various recordings. |

New Pages on Other Sites
I received word last month that download.com has switched over to its sister site last.fm so that means the old link should now direct people to a new page. It offers more flexibility for an artist in terms of having no limits on size or number of tracks available, but I don't know if it will generate the kind of traffic I used to get from the old site (about 16,000 listens in a little over a year) Time will tell. It also seems that they have included sound bytes of my "twin", NFL coach Dennis Green with my tracks, but that will happen, as I'm always fighting for space in the search engines with him. I know who he is, I wonder if the same goes the other way around. Maybe we should record an album together. I also set up a profile on project opus , so if anyone is on that site, they can stream and download from there as well. |

Tuesday Night Jams Tuesday is my regular Jam night with my friends. We have a collective of half a dozen fellows from various walks of life and ages, who are brought together by a common love of music. A great group, lots of fun, and always a few hours of improv. Most of us play more than one instrument, so it's pretty common to see the guys switch places, taking turns playing bass, keys, drums, and guitar. We have the good fortune of a 24 track recording studio environment that's well suited for live playing, and so can record every session. I'll be posting the occasional live jam here on the song page for your listening pleasure. We like to listen to the tape and select ideas to work on either together or individually, and this weekly musical therapy has been a great source of inspiration for me over the last year. Our host, Mo makes flight cases under the M.I.N.E. brand name, so hence the project name. |
