at home in the studio
In the few months since starting this site, I've added much more content, with more to come over the next months. I have about 6 tracks in various stages of completion and a new computer to give me a lot more power in the studio.

I've been going through my demos from the last year and am going to remix a bunch of them and repost them on all my pages, using new samples for the drums and other instruments I program for backing tracks

Come back soon!

About Dennis

.I have been playing stringed instruments since I was 5, studied classical cello for 12 years, picked up my first guitar when I was 10. For most of my teen years I was sure I was destined to be a metal guitar god like many of us do at that age, but as life, reality, and fate conspired, my priorities changed direction. I have been fortunate enough to have a successful career outside of music that has consumed most of my time and energy for the last 20 years, but in the last few years have dusted off the old chops to fuel my need for some additional form of creative expression

 My gear and setup

I play a variety of guitars and have a different setup for recording and live

 My Guitars

Currently I'm playing a  Hamer Sunburst Quilttop and my old friend, my 1986 Kramer Baretta (first of the pointy headstocks, last of the round bodies, parts made by ESP and assembled in Neptune, NJ). As well, I just picked up an ESP LTD with a maple neck and a singl singls humbuucker setupf for some different tones.

My Recording Setup

I run through a Behringer v-amp2 into a mixer and straight into my computer, and record with Cubase for the most part. Drum, bass, and keyboard tracks are all inputted via my Korg M1 in midi, quantized to make up for my imperfect keyboarding, and then converted to audio.

Newsflash

10,000 listens on download.com

This week marked a couple of milestones for my musical interests. Tuesday marked the first anniversary of my online presence, a year since my first post on myspace . In that short time, I've met lots of great musicians and a few good friends and contacts worldwide, and managed to create mirror sites on a few download pages, such as mp3.com and download.com , figuring they all have different audiences.

A few updates this week

I've been working on a bunch of new tracks and ideas and have posted the first of them this week. Last weekend, I recorded a version of "Deck the Halls" for a bit of fun and background music for my greenchef website. Last night I posted the first tune in several months, "Come on in, the water's fine" . More about that on its own page. Both are on the player as well, and available for download from the song page. Enjoy the last bit of '07, it's been quite a ride.

Music added to the player

I've added all of the current demos I 've been working on this year to the player. I now have individual track descriptions and download links up, as well as my one and only video clip from the studio so far.
